The remedy is easy to make, inexpensive, and has positive results.
Here in this article, you will find the benefits of papaya leaf and how I made the juice for my husband during his treatment.
The Benefits of Papaya Leaves
Carica papaya, commonly called papaya, is grown in tropical regions and is one of the most loved fruits. Apart from the fruit, the most consumed part of the plant is the papaya leaf. Papaya leaf juice is the most common desi remedy for increasing the platelet count. It has gained popularity in the last few years due to its various health benefits. Papaya leaves contain a high amount of vitamin A, B, C, E, and K.
What is Dengue Fever?
Dengue, also called break-bone fever, is a mosquito-borne disease caused by the Aedes mosquito. Symptoms of dengue include fever, fatigue, and headaches. Nausea, a rash on the skin, and vomiting.
What are the symptoms and feelings of having dengue fever?
My husband woke up in the middle of the night with an intense headache and his body temperature had increased.
After two days of fever, headache, and leg pain, on the consultation of the doctor, he went for a blood test. And we found dengue positive in the report. The doctor said to continue the fever medication, painkiller, and multivitamin. And other advice was to take rest, coconut water, or electrolytes to drink.
Early detection of the disease was really helpful for us. The fever was reduced within two days. But the platelet count after two days decreased. So the doctor suggested some fruits like papaya, dragon, and kiwi. But for about a week, he had no energy. He would fall asleep frequently because his body could not handle the energy required to be awake.
During this, one of our relatives suggested papaya leaf juice, which helps miraculously to maintain platelet count. The instantaneous effect of the juice increased his energy level also. He drank the extremely bitter juice two times a day. This is an inexpensive natural juice treatment.
Method
Make the following papaya juice to keep your platelet count up:
- You need two big papaya leaves. If you have more, you can store them in the fridge.
- Cut the leaves and remove the stem. It would help if you had the leaf, not the stem.
- Blend the leaves with a little bit of water, and then filter them.
- Drink one to two tablespoons of juice as it is or with honey (to enhance the test as it is bitter in nature) twice a day.
Results:
My husband felt better in a few days. Everyone’s body is different, so the result may also be different. However, I found from my research that the juice really works to maintain the platelet count.
